Nicknamed the Spy, SpyBar is your loungy, clubby retreat on the River North. SpyBars intimate atmosphere is the perfect place to end up at night whether you are with a date, part of a group of freinds, or partying your tail off for an event that they host regularly.
SpyBar is located on the South end of the Leona's building, entrance in the alley next to the parking lot. An iron gate and red lights and well dressed doorman will give away its exact location as you come up the street.
After checking in at the door, everyone walks in and down the stairs, then down a hall toward the club, all the way your route being lit by candles on the floor.
As you turn the corner you are welcomed by an inviting staff and loungy house music. Comforatable sofas and booths have your eye as you become familiar with the club.
Granted its a small place, its perfect for those who want to steer clear of the over crowded super clubs and actually have a place to sit and carry on a conversation with your freinds.
Even due to Chicago's latest nightclub addition, SoundBar, which is less than 50 feet away from SpyBar, business has not been affected. SpyBar offers what its competition does not, an intimate setting, elbow room, and a staff who is so freindly you'd think they were family.
When you're there just say hi to Jimmy, Pablo, Lenny, Jade or any VIP hostesses and see for yourself. You won't experience the cold shoulders or attitudes you would get at other clubs.
Try to make it out on Wednesdays for Caviar Wednesdays for the free champagne and caviar while listening to Finesse and Brian Campell, or Move Thursdays for a taste of house and hip-hop from Andre Harris and Just Joey.
